Photo guide

One photo is enough. A few small details help.

Old, blurry, faded, scanned, and phone photos are welcome. We can do a lot with restoration, but these tips help us make the preview feel more like them.

Best photos

  • Face is visible and not covered
  • Eyes are open or clearly recognizable
  • Original file is better than a screenshot
  • Natural light or soft indoor light
  • One pet per photo if possible

Still okay

  • Old printed photo scanned by phone
  • Low light photo with a clear face
  • Photo with people in the background
  • Only one favorite photo left
  • Small scratches or faded color

Harder to restore

  • Face is very tiny in the frame
  • Heavy motion blur across the eyes
  • Strong shadow over the face
  • Screenshot from a video call
  • Photo cropped through ears or nose

Not sure which one to use?

Send the best 2-3 photos. We will choose the one that gives the gentlest result and tell you honestly if none of them can be restored well.
